About Turf Envy
Turf Envy is a turf management company for homeowners and businesses who desire high quality lawns and attention to detail. After four years of experience in the lawn care industry and four years of turfgrass research, Turf Envy was created.
I have always had a passion for turfgrass science. I first began mowing and trimming for a landscape company during the summers of my undergraduate career, while studying turfgrass science during the semester. I graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Agriculture in 2016. In 2017, I received my Connecticut supervisory pesticide license. I utilized my bachelor’s degree to apply fertilizer and pesticides for a lawncare company for 2.5 years before returning to graduate school to study turfgrass science in 2019 and graduated in 2023 with my Master’s degree.
In my graduate career I researched how turfgrass species, mowing height, and seeding rate can be utilized to reduce weed cover to levels similar to herbicide treated areas. Some of my research is in the process of becoming published in academic journals.
